Escuela de Idiomas Nerja has been nominated for the ninth year in the ‘STM Star Spanish Language School 2016’ awards, the most important awards of the sector. In this way, this school on the Costa del Sol is one of the reduced list of five finalists who opt to receive the maximum prize in the Star Awards, organized by the specialized magazine Study Travel Magazine and considered the Oscar of language teaching centres.
More than 800 professionals from the worldwide language industry each year attend the STMS Star Awards ceremony, among which are the Escuela de Idiomas Nerja directors, Luis Carrión and Renate Urban. Luis Carrión has pointed out that being nominated again means “an honour”, “an enormous joy” as well as “the appreciation for the effort and the involvement demonstrated every day by the whole team of professionals of the Nerja centre with the aim of offering the highest quality education for visitors”. For all these reasons, “we greatly thank our agencies, students and the entire team of the School for our ninth nomination and wish all nominees the best of luck”.
The ‘STM Star Spanish Language School’ category is “particularly competitive”, says its director Luis Carrión, since the rise of Spanish as a language of international trade relations and the second most-used language on the Internet requires “constant training and research of teaching techniques adapted to all kinds of visitors”.
As noted by the director of Escuela de Idiomas Nerja, the Study Travel Magazine awards have become the most desired ones in the sector, a “quality certificate”, and this new nomination “motivates us to continue working hard to improve day by day in order to teach this wonderful language in an effective and dynamic way”.
