In April, Escuela de Idiomas Nerja received the visit of fifteen European agents who congratulated the School managers on its infrastructure and human capital, also highlighting the beauty of the Costa del Sol and the privileged location of the School in the very historical downtown of Nerja. They were, in total, fifteen professional people belonging to the language tourism sector coming from Russia, Serbia, France, Slovenia, Portugal, Germany, Norway and Ukrania who travelled to Nerja for four days right from the Annual IALC International Association of Language Centres) Congress, which took place in Lisbon this year.
Throughout their stay in Nerja, the agents group, accompanied by the School’s Management Team, visited the Scool’s facilities, such as the classrooms, the recreation area and the Club Costa Nerja Hotel, where those students who wish can stay along their Spanish course. Moreover, the agents enjoyed the opportunity of taking a guided visit to the most emblematic locations in the village of Nerja, such as the El Salvador Church, the Balcony of Europe and Nerja Caves.
We didn’t miss the chance to taste the typical produces and dishes of the Andalusian gastronomy either. The agents thanked the possibility of tasting Iberian ham, avocados, olive oil and wine, among other produces that are characteristic of Southern Spain cookery.
Besides, the group of professionals travelling to Nerja received direct and in-person information on the different kinds of Spanish courses that the School offers, as well as the wide range of different possible accommodations, all of them adapted to the students’ needs and likes. The extra-curricular programme of activities, supplemental to the lessons, was the focal point for the visitors, too, since this kind of events (cultural visits, beach volley matches, hiking, cooking lessons, salsa lessons…) stand as a School’s commitment to promoting the knowledge of Spanish culture as a whole, not only the language, in a non-formal, ludic atmosphere that gives the students the perfect frame to practise their Spanish in a relaxed and friendly way.
