The ecotourism find the sustainable development framework in Nerja

The diversity of natural landscapes and respect for the sustainable development of the economy and society lead Nerja to become one of the main focus of ecotourism on the Costa del Sol.

Many public and private institutions of Nerja, among which is the Escuela de idiomas Nerja through its policy of corporate Social responsibility (CSR), make the Andalusian town for 2017 in one of the most important headquarters of Reception of ecotourism in Spain.

Its privileged geographical location, with a mild climate throughout the year, its natural enviroment and the friendliness of its citizens make Nerja one of the favorite destinations of more than 150,00 students from all Spain the world who travel to Spain every year to Learn Spanish.

The Escuela de Idiomas Nerja operates under the commitment acquired to comply with the actions in the field of sustainable development set by the International educational institution ESL Education Group. In this way, the Andalusian teaching centre is organized around the standard of action of corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which promote the care of the environment and the natural environment that surrounds the city of Nerja.

In 2001, the European Commission defined CSR as “the voluntary integration by companies of social and environmental concerns in their commercial operations and their relations with their interlocutors”. In other words, the triple “P”: People, Planet, Profit, is the best summary of what corporate Social responsibility (CSR) means.

On a voluntary basis, the Escuela de Idiomas Nerja has been reconciling growth and competitiveness for years by integrating commitment with social development and improving the environment. Indeed, with the practice of CSR, the School of Languages Nerja acquires the commitment to safeguard the ethical, environmental and social interests of the Nerjeña society.

Through these ecological initiatives, the school wants to collaborate in the protection of the local nature, as a form of gratitude to the esteem and the confidence of all the Nerjeños to the school during its thirty years of experience.
